This month, there has been a lot of buzz about the office. The weather has been starting to get better and Sam has been spending some time setting up his new allotment. Last week was also host to World Bee Day, so I thought it would be a great idea to kill two birds with one stone and make a bee hotel for Sam’s allotment to help attract pollinators to the area and generally help the nearby bugs and plants.

We have something a bit different to share with you for the print of the month this month. I went to go see the new Bob Marley film last week (great film by the way) and I was inspired to make a bit of printed art. It was very easy to make. I simply found this image of a lion on google and separated out the background from the line work in some editing software, then imported them into 3D builder and re-assembled it in 3D. I then imported it into Bambu studio to draw in all the colours and hit print!

We’ve still got gaming on our mind after our trip to the Insomnia Gaming Festival at the end of March, so for this print of the month we’re bringing you something a little bit different. This awesome Aztec inspired statue just so happens to function as a holder for your favourite games console controller!

This month we decided to take our Print of The Month campaign to the next level. At the time we’d been working with a few local schools, providing them with materials to print face shields and visors too. So, back to March 2024! We’d been mulling over several ideas for a few days and it clicked, well sort of. We thought why not work with a local school again.

It’s almost christmas!!! To celebrate the festive season, this month we’ve given the Spoolble by our friends at E3D a print, it’s a perfect gift for that fellow 3D printing nerd in your life, and looks right at home on any christmas tree. For the ‘’filament’’ on the spool, we’ve gone for the very festive combo of silver and green (the previous scheme for old chris cringle before a certain soft drink company got involved!!!) To get this effect we used the always excellent Primacreator Chameleon filament, so you get a really cool colour shift effect depending on the angle it’s at.

The world of innovation in 3D printing has taken great strides forward in recent years. One type of 3D printer that has received a lot of attention is resin printers. These impressive machines have the ability to create detailed and high-resolution objects with a level of precision previously difficult to achieve. In this journal entry, we will explore resin printers in detail and examine why they are so exciting for hobbyists and professional users alike.
What is a Resin printer?
A resin printer, or stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer, uses a liquid resin (a type of plastic) as a material instead of the traditional filaments used in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printers. The big difference here is that resin printers use a light-curing technique to solidify the material in layers, while FDM printers build the objects layer by layer by melting plastic filaments. 3D Prima has a very wide range of different resin types, so you are guaranteed

In this text, we will try to explain a few different concepts, terms and different techniques that are on the market today.
There are lots of names and different techniques, but it's not as complicated as it sounds - most of them are pretty similar to each other.
If we start with the machines they use plastic wire, i.e. the majority of printers. These printers are also the easiest to handle, smell less during operation and, with the right materials/knowledge, can create fantastic prints. Some of the most popular printers right now come from the well-known Bambu Lab and Creality.

Happy new year to you all!!! We all like to make new years resolutions this time of year, and for a lot of us this means getting back in the gym and getting fit (and working off that Christmas dinner). Of course, 3D printing is all we can really think about, so we decided to mix the two with these awesome workout dice from Custom3Dmodels on Cults3D.

Our print for this month is dedicated to a legend of the 3D Printing industry, and the Charity set up in his name, Sanjay Mortimer, and the Sanjay Mortimer foundation. Sanjay was an innovator and an icon within the industry. The foundation set up in his name aims to help young, neurodivergent people along their paths towards careers in engineering and additive manufacturing, so that they too can change the game, as Sanjay did previously.

In the year 2023, we live in a world where technological advancement is happening at an ever-increasing pace, constantly redefining the boundaries of what seems possible. In this world, 3D printers have emerged as one of the most groundbreaking and versatile technologies in a very long time, in just a few short years.
The 3D printer's limitless conquest: from manufacturing to space exploration
Having initially been a novelty for manufacturing and engineering platforms, this product has now extended far beyond the limits of architecture, medicine, art, and even the frontiers of space exploration. Being a part of this development is, of course, tremendously exciting, and it's essential to bear in mind that this evolution has only just begun to gain momentum.
Why do you want a 3D printer?
Looking at 3D printers and prints in their most basic form, it's all about transforming digital models into
