PPSU (PolyPhenylSUlfone) PEI has superior mechanical properties while also being FDA approved. PPSU also meets ISO10993 for medical applications. As well as EU standard EC No. 1935/2004, 2023/2006 and 10/2011 - which means that it is approved for contact with food.

    PrimaSELECT™ PPSU Polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) is a high-performance amorphous thermoplastic that offers better impact and chemical resistance than PEI. PPSU can be used at temperatures up to 180 Cᵒ. Furthermore, PPSU has superior hydrolysis resistance compared to other amorphous thermoplastics, measured in steam autoclaving cycles, it can be steam sterilized virtually indefinitely.
