This month’s “Print of the Month” is a practical one—at least for me! From February 20th to 23rd, the ExCeL Centre in London will be hosting the highly anticipated Pokémon European International Championships. I’ll be competing in the TCG Masters division, and of course, I want to look my best while doing so. So, I’ve got myself a custom 3D-printed deck box (designed by @AstroPrints3D) to keep all my essentials organized in style!
The deck box is printed in the iconic Red, White, and Black—classic Pokéball colors. It’s designed to hold everything I’ll need during the tournament, from my deck to dice and condition markers, all securely fastened with magnets to prevent any mishaps.To tackle the challenge of printing in multiple colors, I decided to give the K2 Plus Combo its first real test in our new office space.
To streamline the process while we’re still settling in, I chose Creality Hyper RFID PLA, which the CFS automatically recognizes, eliminating the need for tedious filament setup and allowing me to focus on the final touches.
The box is designed to hold a 60-card single-sleeved deck, six ability markers, eight mini dice, three standard-sized dice, a poison and burn counter, and a VSTAR marker. Everything, except for the dice, was printed using the K2 Plus Combo, making it an efficient and functional solution for the tournament.This custom deck box is more than just a practical tool; it’s a personal touch that’ll help me stay organized and looking sharp while I battle it out at the European Championships!
