Print Of The Month

The last couple of months have been a bit hectic here. A lot has been going on with moving to the new warehouse and getting the new website up and running, so for this month's print of the month I wanted to do something that was a bit fun and whimsical, so what better than a fidget toy!

This month’s “Print of the Month” is a practical one—at least for me! From February 20th to 23rd, the ExCeL Centre in London will be hosting the highly anticipated Pokémon European International Championships. I’ll be competing in the TCG Masters division, and of course, I want to look my best while doing so. So, I’ve got myself a custom 3D-printed deck box (designed by @AstroPrints3D) to keep all my essentials organized in style!
The deck box is printed in the iconic Red, White, and Black—classic Pokéball colors. It’s designed to hold everything I’ll need during the tournament, from my deck to dice and condition markers, all securely fastened with magnets to prevent any mishaps. To tackle the challenge of printing in multiple colors, I decided to give the K2 Plus Combo its first real test in our new office space.
To streamline the process while we’re still settling

Earlier this month, we celebrated World Braille Day, an important occasion dedicated to raising awareness about the significance of the Braille alphabet for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
To further support this cause, we’ve created and printed a practical Braille alphabet guide designed to help anyone interested in learning Braille.
We made sure to use high-contrast colors, ensuring that the lettering is as clear and readable as possible, particularly for those experiencing early stages of sight loss.
This project was printed on our trusted Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, enhanced with a new upgrade we picked up at SMRRF 2024 in December: the Diamondback 0.4mm hotend! (Big thanks to Georgia for that one!)
The entire print took approximately 5 hours to complete and used about 180g of filament, producing a tool that’s not only functional

'Tis the season to spread joy, and what better way to celebrate than by giving back in a truly unique way! For this month's Print of the Month, I decided to lend a hand to my talented barber and help him decorate his Christmas tree— but not just any tree decoration. This time, I got creative and designed the perfect tree topper... using 3D printing, of course!
Instead of a typical star, I set out to find something that would make a statement. After browsing Makerworld, I stumbled upon a fantastic STL file for a Barber Pole lamp, and it was the perfect fit! To make sure it would sit nicely atop the tree, I added a 6cm diameter hole to the base piece, allowing it to securely perch on the tree.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!
For this print of the month we decided on this spooky, gravity defying ghost printed on the brand new Anycubic Kobra 3 with the ACE Pro filament system. - James Bell - October 09, 2024
This month for print of the month we have an announcement to make. Copymaster filaments are coming to Hueforge!
For those of you that are not familiar with Hueforge. Hueforge is a software that uses a technique called filament painting to make detailed prints without requiring a multi-material 3D printer. Any printer that supports pausing at a specific layer height can use Hueforge, but it is much more easy on printers that have multi material systems such as the Anycubic Kobra 3, Creality K2 Plus or any Bambu Labs printer with an AMS.
Hueforge has a very clever way of layering up multiple colours on top of each other and using the transparency of the filament to blend the colours together to create complex details, tones and colour blends that would otherwise not be possible.
We think the results speak for themselves!

On the 19th of August we celebrated world photography day. A day to encourage and celebrate one of the most accessible forms of art in the modern world. Whether you’re on your old mobile phone or with a state of the art DSLR, anyone can participate!

Chess is more than just a game; it's a global phenomenon that brings people together through strategy and skill. Celebrated annually on July 20th, International Chess Day is an opportunity to delve into the rich history and dynamic world of chess. This year, we're marking the occasion by showcasing an innovative and stylish 3D-printed chess set, created using a Bambu Labs A1 Combo 3D printer with CopyMaster PLA filament.

This month, there has been a lot of buzz about the office. The weather has been starting to get better and Sam has been spending some time setting up his new allotment. Last week was also host to World Bee Day, so I thought it would be a great idea to kill two birds with one stone and make a bee hotel for Sam’s allotment to help attract pollinators to the area and generally help the nearby bugs and plants.

We have something a bit different to share with you for the print of the month this month. I went to go see the new Bob Marley film last week (great film by the way) and I was inspired to make a bit of printed art. It was very easy to make. I simply found this image of a lion on google and separated out the background from the line work in some editing software, then imported them into 3D builder and re-assembled it in 3D. I then imported it into Bambu studio to draw in all the colours and hit print!
