Creality CR-10 Smart - 30x30x40cm

I was initially unsure about buying another Creality machine after previous issues however having Technology Outlet as my supplier gave me the confidence knowing I was supported with possibly the best service I have experienced.

The machine is very well made and really looks like a quality item, assembly took less than 15mins and I was printing within 20mins. After a week I ran into some issues which I take full responsibility for but would like to share my findings to help other purchasers. In a rush to print I didn't fully check everything. I hadn't checked the bed bolts were tightened and also that the lead screw sync gears were tight on the z lead screws. Another thing that should be checked is the Z axis (left and right) is set correctly so that the X axis remains parallel to the bed (if that makes sense). I re-checked everything and within a couple of hours the machine was running again.

The prints I am achieving with this machine are by far the best quality I have achieved using the Creality Cura profile (standard settings) In fact this has been the first time I have achieved prints that require no post processing. Bed adhesion is brilliant, I haven't needed any sprays, glue or blue tape. Prints stick extremely well until the bed has cooled and then they simply slide off. There are a few peculiarities with the software, auto shutdown being one I have only managed to get this to work once but its not a deal breaker. A missed opportunity is the two LED lights which are a great addition but badly placed and not very bright however again though these do not affect the print quality.

As a user of Octoprint it was disappointing that the machine lacks usb connection in favour of the clunky and intrusive Creality Cloud. Its not a big deal though because connecting octoprint is pretty easy but does involve removing the case bottom and accessing the control boards so its best to check with your supplier first as this could void your warranty.

Some have said that auto bed levelling does not work... it does but it requires a machine that has been set up quite precisely in the first instance. It was very easy to prove that it was working by placing small markers on the top of the Z screws and watching them move during the printing of a large single layer. Finally the machine is very very quiet with only minimal fan noise being heard.

This in my opinion is a great machine but if you decide to purchase buy through a company like Technology Outlet because trying to get any help from the Manufacturer especially when based in China is unbelievably frustrating and will leave you high and dry.

Easy to order & fast delivery, just need to free up some time to set up and use it.

This is my first, and probably my only, 3D printer, so I needed to choose carefully. The sales team at Technology Outlet were most helpful, and their service proved to be outstanding.
I assembled the printer fairly quickly, the only snag being that there were 2 washers missing. I had a pair of suitable washers available, so no great problem there.
The instruction book leaves a lot to be desired, but there are some good videos available on the Creality website. With their help, I soon got under way with my first print, which was the dog contained on the memory card. All went well until it was about 75% done, when it became detached from the print bed. Technology Outlet to the rescue, again very helpful, I increased the bed temperature and tried again - success!
I had some stringing at first, but again, on advice from TO, I increased the retraction setting and now I have negligible stringing.
this is a steep learning curve for me, as I have not used CAD software before, but I have now succeeded in printing my first original design (shown in the attached video).
I did get off to a slow start, but all my issues were basically self inflicted.
The printer does all I expected to do and more, and Technology Outlet have so far proved to give first class service and support.

Great printer, took a bit of setting up but once it’s going it’s superb.

I’m very happy with this purchase! It is much quieter than my old one and it is very reasonable price for the quality.
