PolyWood
PolyWood™ is made entirely with PLA using a special foaming technology. It exhibits the same density and appearance as wood. PolyWood™ is a wood mimic filament without actual wood powder, which removes all risks of nozzle clogs.
Because the polywood contains no wood, it is possible to combine any colour with the material. The printed parts have an amazing surface finish and the visual layering is minimized. More colours and materials are already under development.
Polywood ™ is the only 3D printable foam to date. The density of Polywood is on average 0.8 g / cm3, which is about 35 - 40% less than PLA. Due to the low density, the component has a lower weight.
