Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo
The Bambu Lab A1 Mini 3D Printer is a game-changer in FDM 3D printing, redefining flow control. It utilizes a high-resolution, high-frequency eddy current sensor to precisely measure nozzle pressure. The A1 mini comes to you pre-assembled, pre-squared, and pre-tuned with precision. It only takes about 20 minutes to set up for your first print. Included in this combo-set is the all-new AMS lite which is elegant and reliable, making multicolor 3D printing accessible to everyone.
Plug-N-Play
The A1 mini comes to you pre-assembled, pre-squared, and pre-tuned with precision. It only takes about 20 minutes to set up for your first print.
Full-Auto Calibration
A1 mini handles various calibrations all by itself. It meticulously calibrates the Z-offset, bed-level, vibration resonance and nozzle pressure for EVERY print job, automatically.
Auto Z-Offset
A1 mini probes the bed with the nozzle to measure the absolute z-offset. No need to stick a paper as reference.
Auto Vibration Calibration
A1 mini has sensors in toolhead and heatbed. One of the very first bed-slinger printers to run auto resonance calibration on both X & Y axes.
Auto Flow Dynamics
First of its kind, A1 mini runs the nozzle pressure based flow dynamics calibration algorithm. No need to draw any pattern or get any manual pick & match involved, A1 mini handles Pressure Advanced calibration automatically.
Auto Belt Tension
A1 mini can check the belt tension automatically through the vibration frequency calibration. If the belt is loose, the HMS system will notify you to use the auto belt tensioner to set the belt to the right tension.
Print Smooth At Every Corner, Always
The A1 mini revolutionizes flow control in 3D printing. It utilizes a high-resolution, high-frequency eddy current sensor to measure the pressure in the nozzle. Our algorithm actively compensates the flow rate according to the readings to extrude with accuracy.
High-speed Precision
Full-metal Rails, Rigid frame, nozzle pressure sensor, accelerometers, powerful MCU, and above all, an advanced motion control system that utilizes these features to print a 14-minute benchy with quality and following all the speed benchy rules straight out of the box without using specialized filaments.
Quick Swap Nozzles
All-new quick swap hotend design, the hotend pops in and out with just 1 clip.
Print Silently
Active Motor Noise Canceling and Silent Mode can bring down the noise level to under 48 dB, making A1 mini one of the quietest 3D printers on the market, so you can take a nap while your printer is working hard.

Customer Reviews
Technology Outlet was superb, delivering the thing in a stupidly quick time.
For the most part this printer punches well above its price class, a solid set of features with some excellent quality of life tools for set up.
The mini AMS works well, allowing fairly easy multi-colour prints.
General print quality is good, not the greatest, I’ve used printers in the same price bracket with better, but good enough.
The bad
Obviously, the print area is pretty small and the standard bed seems to struggle with printing too far out to the edge, with a lot of lifting.
Printing takes awhile to start with the printer needing to do a bunch of steps before it can begin, these are outside the normal calibration steps.
Whilst there are a few error checking bits, for running out of filament and stuck filament, it’s not infallible and the printer will fail in a fairly dramatic style - one of the pictures I’ve included shows what I had to remove from the hot end.
When things do fail it can be really tricky to clean up and maintenance at that level is very tricky, as is finding the right spare parts
In summary, this is excellent value and a good printer for someone who just wants to print without messing around or for a beginner, but always check on it to make sure the extruder doesn’t get blocked, or you’ll have a difficult repair job at hand.
For most things the a1 mini is a superb choice and with the ams lite combo multi material is a huge plus for larger prints as when one filament roll runs out, if another same roll is installed on the ams lite the printer automatically changes to the new roll.
Though there are many great printers in the market place at the moment the Bambu lab printers especially the A1 series are the easiest to use.
