ObXidian is E3D's latest abrasive Nozzle offering, specifically designed for printing fibre-filled polymers. Unlike other abrasion resistant Nozzles, ObXidian’s copper alloy construction has a similar thermal performance to Brass, making it a true drop-in replacement. HTX nozzles are high-temperature, abrasion-resistant nozzles. Much like ObXidian, HTX nozzles have a hardened steel tip, copper carrier and copper spreader segment to optimise the transmission of heat to the heatsink. The nozzle is then coated with Chromium Nitride to provide abrasive resistance up to 500°C.
